Responding to the controversy surrounding the track Mavado clearly stated on live TV in Trinidad that “that’s not me” – referring to what was stated to be his vocals on KMC’s 2010 track “Badder Than Them”. I asked Julian Jones-Griffith, Mavado’s manager to put this issue to rest. He stated:

“That’s not Mavado on the track, that sounds nothing like him.
And yes he said that on Synergy” – Julian Jones-Griffith
